Some of the most respected artists of every genre of art are the ones that seem to break down boundaries and blur the lines of what is " normal ". Christina Barker is one of those artists. International Author Julia Blake

(images from juliablakeauthor.co.uk) A wise woman once asked at the conception of AURi ,  "What does the ' i ' stand for?" Well when it comes to Julia Blake , it stands for international . Bury St. Edmunds is best known for it gardens, breweries, and it's sacred religious/historic sites. But perhaps we added an author to the top 10.   In her own words, Julia Blake fell in love with writing " a s soon as I was old enough to pick up a pencil.  I have always written short stories, poems, essays, school plays, silly verses to go into friend's birthday cards, before maturing enough to attempt a novel. "   Blake cites a painful divorce as the catalyst responsible for the transformation from book lover to author. Taylor Martin: singer/songwriter

Kickin’ it Old School One of the things we here at AURi are most excited to get to do is to provide a bridge for disconnected and unexposed artists. I recently sat down with one such artist in Savannah, Georgia; singer/songwriter Taylor Martin. While it may be hard to imagine, Taylor is nowhere to be found on social media or the ‘inner-tube’ as he says laughing. If you’re lucky though, you might be able to catch him in a bar/restaurant downtown from time to time or playing someone’s backyard party around a fire. I’m grateful to have stumbled upon the latter.  AR: “So what came first, the singing or the songwriting?” TM: “Honestly, I can’t remember. I sang when I was a little kid, but it was at church and things like that. But I remember, I was 10 or 12 years old the first time I wrote a song and it was terrible…. but I did it.
